Do You Qualify to Join The American Legion?

If you have served at least one day of active military duty since December 7, 1941 and were honorably discharged, or you are currently serving honorably on active duty, you are eligible for membership in The American Legion.

Eligible branches include:

  • U.S. Army

  • U.S. Navy

  • U.S. Air Force

  • U.S. Marine Corps

  • U.S. Coast Guard

  • U.S. Space Force

  • U.S. Merchant Marine

Membership Dues

Annual membership dues for our post are $40 per year.

If you qualify and would like to become a member of American Legion Post 265, we welcome you to join our community of veterans.

How to Join

To apply for membership, please visit the Legion and complete an application. You will need to provide proof of eligibility, such as:

  • DD Form 214, or

  • Current military ID card

Transferring from Another Post

If you are already a member of another American Legion post and would like to transfer to Post 265, we can assist you with the process. Simply bring your current membership card, and we will take care of the transfer.
